Mahalaya Scarf

Waking up to Birendra Krishna Bhadra’s deep enthralling voice marks the beginning of Durga Pujo for generations now. Just as images of kash phool and vibrations of the dhaak are associated with the 4 days of pujo, the recitation of Mahisashura Mardini with the first rays of the sun on Mahalaya on radio is a strong nostalgia for Bengalis till date.

Our inspiration comes from the stories of our parents and grandparents who woke us up during the early hours to listen to the tale of Durga and imbibe the essence of Pujo no matter where we go.
